We returned to Managua and stayed at the airport Best Western as we had a 6 a.m. flight. The flight was delayed due to a massive storm in Miami in July 2024. I can’t remember the exact name of the BW, but it is 300 feet in front of the Managua airport. Great staff, bilingual if needed, nice rooms with A/C, massive grounds, money exchange, small gift shop with local-only made goods at a low price, fantastic restaurant, room service, etc. 5-star review from us.
That’s not a metaphor: you could toss a mango and hit the check-in counter. There’s also a gift shop with locally made Nicaraguan crafts, perfect for last-minute souvenirs that actually feel meaningful. We gave it a solid 5-star rating, and we’re not even “hotel people.”
